Wonderful world of movie costumes.....

1. The emerald green dress worn by Keira Knightley in Atonement has been voted (by InStyle   magazine) the best film costume of all time.

2. Marilyn Monroe's white dress from The Seven Year Itch, worn as she stood over a subway grate, was second.

3. The little black Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's was third.

4. Olivia Newtown-John's skin-tight black pants from the final scene of Grease came in at number four.

5.  Kate Winslet's costume from Titanic

6. Diane Keaton's tie and waistcoat in Annie Hall;

7. Nicole Kidman's satin corset from Moulin Rouge

8. Liza Minnelli's stockings and bowler hat in Cabaret

9. The gown worn by Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age

10. Vivien Leigh's dresses from Gone With The Wind.

Although, I think the red dress (third one on the top) was THE one, I've put them all, since she looks really spectacular in everything, even in her green curtains!

a·tone /əˈtōn/ .....to make amends (to atone for his/hers past mistakes)

"How many films have we seen that fascinate in every moment and then, in the last moments, pose a question about all that has gone before, one that forces us to think deeply about what betrayal and atonement might really entail?" _Erbert

Yes. I saw him. I saw him with my own eyes.

"Dearest Cecilia, the story can resume. The one I had been planning on that evening walk. I can become again the man who once crossed the surrey park at dusk, in my best suit, swaggering on the promise of life. The man who, with the clarity of passion, made love to you in the library. The story can resume. I will return. Find you, love you, marry you and live without shame."

"...But what sense of hope or satisfaction could a reader derive from an ending like that? So in the book, I wanted to give Robbie and Cecilia what they lost out on in life. I'd like to think this isn't weakness or... evasion... but a final act of kindness. I gave them their happiness."

For all drama lovers, an absolute MUST SEE!!

These are hard times for dreamers....

"Without you, today's emotions would be the scurf of yesterday's."_

Audrey

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

We belong to nobody and nobody belongs to us....

Breakfast at Tiffany's is a 1961 romantic comedy film starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard. The film was directed by Blake Edwards It was loosely based on the novella of the same name by Truman Capote.
Marliyn Monroe was originally cast as Holly Golightly, but her drama coach told her that playing a call-girl was not good for her image.

The song "Moon River" was written especially for Audrey Hepburn, since she had no training as a singer. It won an Acadamy Award for the best song.
Audrey Hepburn's salary for the film made her the second highest paid actress (behind Elizabeth Taylor) per film at the time.
The famous black dress  in the opening scenes of this movie was sold for $807,000 auction in London, making it the second most expensive piece of movie memorabilia ever sold. The first is the Best Picture Oscar for Gone with the Wind (1939)

Also, Holly Golightly wears the same dresses all the way through the movie, simply changing the accessories to give each outfit a different look. Her black shift dress features through the movie at least four times.
The movie's poster was as #18 of "The 25 Best Movie Posters Ever" by Premiere.
